 Spot gold hit
its all-time record in the beginning of May. Gold now is priced
at over 1,500 USD / ounce. The prices of dental alloy
(high-precious, semi-precious, yellow gold etc.) are expected to
increase accordingly. In light of the continual upward trend of
gold price, we always recommend a zirconia crown & bridge, as a
good replacement for porcelain fused to precious metal
restoration. Zirconia is comparable in terms of flexural
strength, durability and biocompatibility.

New Year dinner party was held on Saturday 29, January at
Nathong lakeside restaurant in Bangkok. All employees as well as
family members enjoyed the food, beverages and fun Karaoke to
celebrate the beginning of 2011.

Dental Lab obtained an ISO 9001:2008 certificate from an independent
certification body, TUV NORD CERT GmbH. ISO 9001:2008 is the
standard that provides a set of standardized requirements for a
quality management system. This is a big step in our company to
demonstrate our relentless commitment to the highest quality
management system and worldwide standards.

Company annual offsite trip
As an annual event, this year we
arranged a corporate trip to Wang Nam Kiew, a countryside just to
the Northeast of Bangkok. We enjoyed nature tranquility in lovely
mountainous surroundings, not to mention fun activities like awesome
food, karaoke and games.

1 May 08 - Increase in fuel
surcharge
Due to the
continual rise in global oil prices, FedEx adjusted the fuel
surcharge in May to 20.5% for export shipments (from Thailand),
and to 22.5% for import shipments (to Thailand). Therefore, you
may experience an increase in freight charges. The fuel
surcharges of DHL, UPS and TNT also increased accordingly.

Dental Lab organized a New Year dinner party on Saturday 12, January
at Rienkaew restaurant in Bangkok. All our employees as well as
their family joined this party to have fun and celebrate a
successful and hard-working year of 2007. Apart from excellent food
and drinks, we also enjoyed other activities such as Karaoke, gift
exchange, and dance.

adjustment
 FedEx
in Thailand adjusted its shipping rates by approximately 2-5% across
all destinations and weight ranges. The impact on the freight costs
which we charge on your bill should be minimal. You may expect an
increase of 1-2 US dollars or Euro.
As usual, the fuel surcharge varies month by month. This surcharge
is applied on top of base shipping fees.

recently installed the new IPS e.max and IPS Empress Esthetic
systems by Ivoclar Vivadent in order to cope with the rising demand
in aesthetic all-ceramic restorations and keep ourselves up-to-date
with newest technologies.
 IPS
e.max combines both highly aesthetic and high-strength materials
and can be used to fabricate all-ceramic crowns (anterior +
posterior) and 3-unit bridges up to premolars by using a Press

Empress Esthetic provides true-to-nature translucency and
aesthetic properties. It is particularly useful for creating
all-ceramic inlays, onlays, and veneers by using a Press technique.
